Laser Therapy - How can it help you with pain relief?

When booking a chiropractic treatment at Regenesis Pain Management & Rehab Clinic, one of the modalities that our chiropractors use is Laser Therapy. Have you ever wondered how Laser can help you? Find out more below!

What is Laser Therapy?

LASER Therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to promote healing and reduce pain and inflammation. It is particularly effective for conditions like tendinitis (e.g., Achilles tendonitis, rotator cuff injuries), arthritisbursitischronic back and neck muscle strainsligament sprains, and nerve pain.

What are the benefits?

Here are some of the key benefits of laser therapy for musculoskeletal issues:

  • Pain Reduction
  • Reduction of Inflammation (less swelling and pain)
  • Non-Invasive and Drug-Free
  • Accelerated Tissue Healing (quicker recovery from injuries or surgeries)
  • Improved Blood Circulation
  • Enhanced Collagen Production
  • Improved Range of Motion
  • Faster Recovery Time (effective for acute injuries and chronic conditions)

How does this help me overall? Reduced pain levels help patients move more freely, improving their ability to engage in physical activity and daily tasks.

What can I expect when doing Laser Therapy?

During a laser therapy session, the chiropractor will apply a handheld laser device to the area of pain or injury. The treatment is typically painless, with most patients describing the sensation as a gentle, soothing warmth. Laser therapy is just one of the many modalities/treatment options that our chiropractors use during treatment.

In summary, laser therapy for musculoskeletal conditions offers several benefits, from reducing pain and inflammation to accelerating healing and improving mobility. It's a versatile, non-invasive option that can complement other therapeutic interventions for enhanced recovery.
